Horace Boudinot Wilson was a prosperous man in his day.  He ran a general store which included the local post office.  This was located at a place called Elm Branch, in Northeast Jefferson County, IL.  Elm Branch is long gone of course, but  in one school I attended, the map of Illinois actually had Elm Branch.  Heaven only knows how old that map was!!
