| Robert
McCune was born September 9th, 1853. Departed this life at the age of
74 years, 8 months and 17 days. United with the Concord Baptist church at an early age and was faithful in attendance. Was united in marriage to Rachel Smith May 2nd 1878. To this union five children were born. Rachel McCune departed this life February 16, 1891, two daughters dying in infancy, two daughters from the union left to mourn: Mrs. Winnie McKinstry of Rice, Mrs. Alta Stuckey of St. Louis. One son Lyman preceeded him to the Great Beyond. Mr. McCune was later united in marriage to Isabelle Niemeyer September 24, 1891. To this union seven chuldren were born. One son Harry dying in infncy: his wife, three sons and three daughters left to mourn: Mrs. Edna Chapman of rice, Mrs. Mildred Krupp of Pinckneyville, Elsa of Swanwick, Willie and Earl at home: Sixeen grandcildren, one sister Mary Jane Hutchings of Emmerson Neb, and a host of relatives and friends.
