Nashville, Tennessee - May 2006

Bicentennial Mall State Park

This state park is in downtown Nashville.

This is one section of a granite map
of Tennessee as big as a house.

Each fountain represents a river in Tennessee.
The wall has quotations about the rivers.

A wall down a long side of the park shows events in Tennessee's history.  Pillars beside the wall mark off decades.

Down the other long side of the park are plaques on the walkway representing all the counties of Tennessee.

The Tennessee World War II memorial features a globe rotating in a fountain of water (see Antarctica on top?)

The towers form a carillon with one bell in each tower.  The keyboard is in this building.

Lots of Tennessee flags -
each has three stars

The Tennessee state capitol
overlooks the park
