Nashville Zoo at Grassmere

The giraffes are the newest residents
of the zoo.

The elephants live in an African
savannah habitat.

The meerkats sat still so I could make their picture.

This is a crane

I think this is a swan

I'm not sure where the storks were - they were supposed to be black and white also

These are hyacinth macaws

The duck pond has nice plants and flowers

The woodpecker was
pecking noisily

Visitors could go inside the lorakeet cage.
I was about one foot away from this bird.

One swooped right over my head, and
one sat on the head of an employee.

Grassmere Historic Farm

The Grassmere historic farm is part of the zoo.

I don't think these animals are historic.

There weren't many vegetables growing in the garden, but there were these pretty roses.
