PINCKNEYVILLE - Helen H. Hubler, 81, of Pinckneyville, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at the Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.
Mrs. Hubler had attained the age of 81 years, five months and 16 days, having been born on June 19, 1917, at Rice to Thomas and Winifred (McCune) McKinstry.
In 1936, she was united in marriage to John J. Hubler. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Mrs. Hubler had been the proprietor of Helen's Beauty Shop in Pinckneyviile from 1937 to 1997.
Mrs. Hubler was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church and a former member of Catholic Daughters. She was also an avid quilter and reader.
Left to mourn her passing are two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Barb Hubler of Pinckneyville and Don and Patricia Hubler of Glen Carbon; one daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Carl Eisfelder of Marengo, Ind.; one sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Ray Frances of Nashville; 13 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Buller, and four brothers, Elmer, Robert, Harold and Raymond McKinstry.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, at St. Bruno Catholic Church of Pinckneyville, with Father John Venegoni officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Bruno Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the KruppSchwebel Funeral Home in Pinckneyville. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville Community Hospital or Perry County Home Health Care and Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
