Southern Illinoisan (Carbondale, IL) - Monday, February 28, 1994 PINCKNEYVILLE - Raymond McKinstry, 88, of Route 2, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 1994, in the Skilled Care Unit of Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Schwebel Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Grammer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, near Pinckneyville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and until services Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. McKinstry was a lifelong resident of the Rice area. He was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a farmer. He was a member of the Concord Baptist Church of Rice. He was born in Rice on July 13, 1905, the son of the late Tom J. and Winnie M. (McCune) McKinstry. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hubler of Pinckneyville and Mrs. Rachel Francis and husband Ray of Nashville; and many nieces and nephews. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Robert and Harold. |
