Lafreniere Park

City Park is the largest park in New Orleans.  I visited one part of it.

Two lions guarded the pavilion
and looked out over the lagoon.

I saw a bride  near the huge gazebo.
I think she was having pictures made.

Some areas of the park were closed for the day and would have cost money to get in.
I peeked through the fences and saw some things anyway.

The botanical garden

In addition to traditional statues of naked people, the sculpture garden had
whimsical sculptures, like a giant safety pin and giant salt and pepper shakers.
